India Calling: Graebert Inaugurates New Indian Headquarter

Office Opening In India

Graebert India’s new office was inaugurated on October 26th, 2015 in Noida, India by CEO Wilfried Gräbert. Graebert has been strongly investing to become a major player on India’s CAD market for desktop, mobile, and cloud.

“This new office is a milestone for our company – I clearly see the Indian market having great sales potential for Graebert’s desktop, mobile and cloud CAD technology applications”

said Mr. Wilfried Gräbert, who came to the HQ inauguration in Noida with Mrs. Gräbert. “Three years ago we started the Indian operation with a team of 10 people and now we have more than 30. At our Annual Meeting in Berlin we announced that along with the desktop development, we are working aggressively on mobile and cloud technology. Our new Indian office is an important part of this development.”

More than 50% of the Indian population is below the age of 25. Surya Sarda, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Graebert India comments:

“The preferred device of this generation is the smartphone or phablet, with laptops or tablets used only as a backup for tasks that cannot be done on the phone.”

“LTE is available only in a few cities in India”, continues Sarda, “and the next big push is to make it available throughout the country. Once that happens, cloud computing will make sense.”

Technology Hub

Graebert India is now located in Noida’s I Thum tower in sector 62. This area is an IT Hub: many engineering and IT companies reside here. Before, Graebert India’s office was just 2 km away, but the old rooms were on lease. This is why Graebert India set up its own office to anticipate future plans. “We moved to the new premises in August 2015 and spent nearly two months on interior setup,” remembers Rajesh Garg, Managing Director, Graebert India.

Graebert’s partnership with Ingram Micro in India

The sales office handles marketing and sales for the entire Indian region, as well as coordination with all resellers and Ingram Micro®, the largest distributor of Information Technology products in the world. Ingram Micro is Graebert’s National Distributor for ARES CAD Software in India. The decision to establish this close partnership was taken nearly two years ago, anticipating the channel expansion and strategic plans of Graebert in India.

“The new Graebert office speaks volumes about its vision and the pace at which Graebert India has grown in the last couple of years and will continue to grow in the future. Ingram Micro wishes the best for this journey and always supports and cherishes its association with Graebert,” said Sourabh Jain, Assistant Product Manager, Ingram Micro.

Indian Tradition

Very traditionally the ceremony started with a Pooja ritual at 9 am. “When Mrs. and Mr. Graebert arrived at 10 am they were truly happy to see the place”, recalls Rajesh Garg. Wilfried Gräbert cut the ribbon at 11 am and then Mrs. and Mr. Graebert were welcomed according to the Indian tradition.

50 guests attending the ceremony

More than 50 people attended this great opening including the staff of Graebert India, Graebert’s CAD Training Centre team and partners. Ingram Micro joined the event together with 4 sales partners and more local vendors.

“All team members are excited about the new office. This environment will boost the productivity of the team”, foresees Rajesh Garg. And Specification Writer Amit Kumar adds that “the paintings from Germany go well with the bright look of the office interior.” But there’s also traditional Indian art: Elephant deity Ganesha, Lord of Success, watches over CEO Wilfried Gräbert’s office room.
