Architect and archaeologist Irene Blum works at the University of Bochum, Germany. She uses ARES Commander for excavation work in an antique city in Turkey. “As our activity goes on for many years at the same location but with changing staff, we need a user-friendly and versatile CAD program” Detailed Plans The ability of unlimited zooming in and out allows to create detailed plans of all the findings such as walls, components, fountains – everyone in the team has access and can see the area they are working on. “We feed ARES Commander with the coordinates we gain from surveying the site, so we can reproduce any point or line to scale – and also later identify where exactly this is on site”, says Blum. For this the various layers are a great help: Even the most diverse topics can be visualized individually or in any combination. This may be
Graebert’s new Cloud-based CAD technology “ARES Kudo” just entered production phase with the release of the first integration inside Onshape’s Drawing module. That’s why we named our Cloud-based CAD technology ARES Kudo (formerly code-named “Xenon project”). Read more about why we chose the name, ARES Kudo. The press and early users comment on this dawning of a new CAD era: Drawings are on track to be precisely what they should be – enterprise-class drawing capabilities with the magic and ease-of-use of Onshape. Michael Topolovac | Crave “Graebert is in a unique position today as being the only supplier of a cloud-based OEM CAD component. (…) When an opportunity like Onshape
ARES Kudo Is The New Name Chosen By Graebert For Its Cloud-Based CAD Technology Graebert revealed in April at COFES (the Congress On the Future of Engineering Software) its new DWG-based CAD platform. First introduced under its internal code-name the “Xenon project”, this full browser-based technology is now given its final name: “ARES Kudo”. We thought we could share with you in this article how we chose this name and why. The genesis After more than 3 years of efforts in research and development, ARES Kudo is now entering into production phase with the release of Onshape’s Drawing module. Onshape is the first partner of Graebert leveraging from this new full browser-based technology. Both companies actively collaborated to offer a seamless integration between Onshape’s 3D environment and Graebert’s drafting features. Graebert is now actively exploring other partnerships and will further reveal its strategy in October at the Graebert Annual Meeting.

Based on these assumptions I develop product ideas for the future – and start developing them in the present. Once the technology is there, we have the
