Cold Storage House / Regensburg, Germany
4800 square meters in only 11 hours on-site surveying and additional 4 hours in the office using a PDA by DELL and the Leica Disto A6. Including the survey of the cold store house with temperature -30° Celsius and a normal store house temperature of only 4° Celsius, all shelves had to be measured in their exact position and size. Surveying the building was done without disturbing the daily store house processes and constant traffic in all walks by the packaging teams, which means no tripod measurement was possible. The PDA works with one battery which had to be recharged after 5 hours work during the lunch break for about 45 minutes only. |

KLC - Korean Land Corporation
The biggest corporation in Korea for residential and industrial properties are using now SiteMaster Building to improve their workflow. With our software application KLC managed to save 220 days and 7,000 man power a year. Deutsche Telekom / Germany
Vivento Technical Services, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, measured and drew more than 1 Mio. square meters within 15 weeks. The project was about verifying the technical area of DeTeImmo, the real estate subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG. 25 team members recorded a total of 13,778 rooms in 1,230 buildings between March and June 2005.

McDonalds / Great Britain
More than 300 restaurants of the fast-food chain were completely surveyed in Great Britain between April and June 2005. The restaurant chain had to meet a new law and to provide digital plans of all their »licenced« restaurant. These plans can be used e.g. by fire workers and security personnel. The challenge of this case was ? except the strict time frame ? to survey all restaurants while open to the public.

St. James, Manchester / Great Britain
St. James Building in downtown Manchester was built in 1912 and has seen many changes since then. The 90 years old drawings had to be replaced by new and digital drawings within one month. Thousands of columns, light fittings, sprinklers, doors and windows had to be triangulated accurately within the 350.000 square feet (~35.000 squaremeters). In the postprocessing phase MATL created 3D virtual walkthroughs using the attained drawings and photographs.

Cartier Headquaters, Paris / France
The French Jewellers have an underground car park that stores their clients' cars in pigeon holes ? 3 cars in each box. Cars are stored and retrieved by an automatic elevator, the whole car park is not designed to accomodate human access. MATL surveyed the complete facility with a tolerance of ±3mm over 40m. Some measurements had to be taken by the surveyors hanging from ropes. MATL used SiteMaster Building on a Pocket PC SPV M1000 by Orange and a laser distancemeter Leica Disto plus.
